Kenge Kobayashi is a former graphic artist who lives in El Paso, Texas.
Kenge was interned at Tule Lake concentration camp during World War II. In 2006 he designed and helped construct the Japanese American Internment Memorial outside Eugene, Oregon's Hult Center for the Performing Arts.
Kenge graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He won may graphic awards in Chicago and Los Angeles as an art director for major TV and print advertising agencies. He also won awards for watercolor painting from
the Watercolor Society of Oregon and the Mayor's Art Show in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon.
Kenge taught watercolor painting for the Eugene Parks and Recreation Department from 1996 to 2008. He is now teachinng watercolor classes for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Texas at El Paso.
